TYAZHMASH equipment was used for the third launch at the spaceport Vostochny

On the 1st of February, the third launch took place at the spaceport Vostochny where land-based equipment of space-launching complexes produced by TYAZHMASH had been installed. The space-mission vehicle consists of Soyuz 2.1а launch vehicle, Fregat upper stage, Kanopus-V Nos. 3 and 4 earth remote sensing satellites, and nine American and German hosted payloads.

Eleven satellites were placed into the intended orbits. Kanopus-V satellites will be used to monitor man-made and natural emergencies. American LEMUR satellites will monitor marine traffic and aircrafts for peaceful purposes. S-Net is a system of four satellites developed by the Technical University of Berlin. It is planned to develop a technology of satellites autonomous interaction by means of four nanodevices. D-Star satellites will be used for the same purposes.

The next launch from the spaceport Vostochny will be carried out in October-November 2018.
