Main electrical equipment was shipped to HPP Chaparral

January 19, 2018

In December 2017 TYAZHMASH fulfilled one of the key items of the contract for HPP Chaparral (El Salvador). The main electrical equipment including two generators with excitation systems, two transformers with gas monitoring systems, bus ducts, average voltage cells, and other products were shipped from the workshops of TYAZHMASH partner — Končar Group (Croatia).

Shipment was carried out under the control of employees of the plant and transport companies because weight of some parts was more than 200 tons. At the end of December 2017 the ship left the Port of Rijeka (Croatia). Destination point is Acajutla (El Salvador). The equipment will be unloaded by means of special-purpose floating crane.

In 2015 TYAZHMASH and CEL signed the contract on designing, manufacturing, supply, mounting, and commissioning of equipment for HPP Chaparral with capacity of 70 MW.

David Lopez, the President of CEL made a great contribution to execution of works under this project.

Mechanical equipment has already been supplied. Works on electrical equipment are being performed in Croatia.

Hydraulic turbines arrived at building site at the end of 2016 — the beginning of 2017. Now their mounting is being carried out. The main embedded parts have already been installed. The auxiliary unit with capacity of 1.4 MW manufactured by ČKD Blansko Holding — the affiliated company of JSC TYAZHMASH — will be mounted soon.
