TYAZHMASH signed the contract on equipment supply to Bulgaria

In May the affiliated company of JSC TYAZHMASH — ČKD Blansko Holding a.s. (as a part of consortium with KONČAR — INŽENJERING ZA ENERGETIKU I TRANSPORT D.D. (Croatia) and Rudis d.o.o. (Slovenia)) and NEK EAD signed the contract on equipment supply to the largest chain of HPPs in Bulgaria.

Chain of hydroelectric power plants with total capacity of 739 MW includes HPP Belmeken (5×75 MW, was put into operation in 1973, Pelton turbines); HPP Sestrimo (2×120 MW, was put into operation in 1974, Pelton turbines); HPP Momina Klisura (2×62 MW, was put into operation in 1975, Francis turbines).

The plants will be equipped with updated mechanical and electrical equipment to provide high reliability and long service life.

Earlier CKD Blansko Holding a.s. has manufactured equipment for HPPs Belmeken and Sestrimo. Under new project, the plant will produce equipment for hydraulic turbines and ball gates for HPP Momina Klisura. The obligations will be fulfilled by May 2018 — November 2020.
