TYAZHMASH signed agreement with gas producing company NOVATEK

On the thirteenth of September, 2016, during the working visit of NOVATEK representatives to Samara, agreements on strategic partnership and cooperation were signed by NOVATEK and industrial organizations of Samara region. Syzran Joint-Stock Company TYAZHMASH was one of these organizations. Governor of Samara region N. I. Merkushkin participated in negotiations. The agreement was signed by Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC NOVATEK L. V. Mikhelson, Director General of JSC TYAZHMASH A. F. Trifonov, Advisor Director General S. F. Trifonov and leaders of other regional enterprises.

According to the document, the largest fuel producer plans to invite Samara suppliers for implementation of investment project on construction, production, liquefaction, and sales of “YAMAL LNG” gas on the resource gas of Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field where LPG plant is planned to be constructed. The plant will consist of three process lines (unit capacity is 5.5 mln tons per year). L. V. Mikhelson stated that NOVATEK refused imported equipment due to Western sanctions and inadequate quality of equipment supplied from abroad. According to Mikhelson’s estimation, signing of agreement allowed increase in orders volume in Samara region up to 10% of total aggregate investments into the second phase of the project which amounts $10-15 bln.

N. I. Merkushkin said that enterprises of region and OJSC NOVATEK had studied an issue about possible contribution of Samara region in implementation of the largest investment project. Apart from real activity of the region, these agreements positively influence both company image and Samara region reputation. Participation in implementation of the largest project allows to apply for projects in other branches. The more enterprises are engaged in the project, the higher status of the region and plants employees is.

The agreement gives JSC TYAZHMASH an opportunity to point firmer in the new spheres of activity and warrants successful contraction. A. F. Trifonov said that in recent years the plant had mastered the broad list of assortment including equipment for nuclear, space, and defence industry. In his opinion, TYAZHMASH team possessed sufficient creativity and experience to approach the new market, and participation in “YAMAL LNG” project would give us this reliable basis for activity and work planning.
